In the statistical description, if the data follow the normal distribution, the mean ± standard deviation is used; if the data do not follow the normal distribution, the median ± interquartile interval is used. In parameter estimation, if the data follow the normal distribution, the mean and standard error are used; if the data do not follow the normal distribution, the percentile is used, and the highest/lowest value is given according to the actual clinical situation. For a hypothesis test, the statistical analysis method used should be clearly stated (such as t-test of group design data, analysis of variance of two-factor factorial design data, etc.), and the significant level should be clearly defined.
