Abstract:Objective To investigate the self-efficacy for appropriate medication use in stroke patients, and analyze related influencing factors. Methods 〓Totally 148 stroke patients who met the inclusion criteria were investigated by using a self-made general information questionnaire, Herth Hope Index, Barthel index(BI)and Self-efficacy for Appropriate Medication Use scale(SEAMS). Results 〓The overall score of SEAMS was(26.56±6.54), and the overall score of Herth Hope Index was(33.14±4.46), which indicated a moderate level of self-efficacy for appropriate medication use. The multiple linear regression analysis showed that the self-efficacy for appropriate medication use of patients was influenced by awareness of disease and taking positive action(P<0.05). Conclusion 〓The self-efficacy for appropriate medication use is affected by multiple factors. It is necessary to carry out regular education and targeted interventions for post-stroke patients, in order to improve their level of hope and self-efficacy for appropriate medication use.
